Name: Thomas Gideon
First Appearance: Fantastic Four #191
Powers/Abilities: Glorion possesses the mystical ability to allow one's wants and dreams to become a reality for them. This power can be explained as a "local" ability, as one person's dream stays personal and does not affect the entire world or universe, from what has been shown.
History: The spoiled brat once called Thomas is who this character really is. Glorian was created when he was bombarded by radioactivity (no, that's not how he got his powers. No Spider-Man here), and the Shaper of Dreams gave him a second chance, a chance to be the new Shaper. Obviously, he took that chance and now he's a egotistical freak who enjoys messing with peoples perceptions of reality, creating what he believes are their real wants, but are often not needs. Though this is not entirely bad, what makes him a villain is the fact that although he tries to help, it is ultimately done for himself and can often lead to angered participants. After all, who enjoys having their mind toyed with? Not I.
He appeared in Generation X #28 where he saved the kids from dying of dehydration and over-exposure from the sun in the middle of the ocean. He ressurected a sunken ship and attempted to make them all as happy as possible. But his one flaw was Skin, who defyed his power and forced Glorian to give up by sending them all to L.A., Skin's hometown. What happened to Glorian after that is anyone's guess.
