Issue: #13 - March 1996
Title: It's All Relative
Creative Team: Scott Lobdell (writer), Todd Gummett (guest artist), Mark Buckingham (inks), Richard Starkings & Comicraft (letters), Team Bucce & Electric Crayon (colors).
Summary/Review: MMMMMMMM. Lots of M in this ish. She gets away from her big bro, tries to contact the X-Men and gets slammed through a wall by some big German freak named Bulwark, one of Emplate's little beasties. They continue to beat the crap out of each other until Bulwark turns into some short, scrawny dweeb. That's thanks to Leech. Meanwhile, Jubilee is cracking some jokes while hanging upside down and to annoy Emplate. Ain't she swell? That Jubes, what a chick.
M later runs into that purple mist from last issue. Turns out that the mist has a name... Vincente (sound familiar? It should if you've read the AoA version of GenX, Generation Next). Then Bishop arrives to woop some more booty.
Quick Thoughts: I done liked this issue! Even though it's dealing with Monet, who I think is being focused on too much already (every issue it's another mystery added to the pile), it was still really neat. A nice guest star showed up (one that made sense for once), and we got to see Emplate woop some with his new freaks (aka, New Hellions). Overall, a fun ride, and I especially liked the fact that Lobdell is not just plain forgetting the AoA tales, by having Vincente show up.
